Caroline Orr
Caroline Orr is a doctoral student and research assistant in Social and Behavioral Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research interests include women’s health and reproductive health issues, violence prevention efforts, psychosocial and socioeconomic determinants of health and health disparities, the role of social stigma as it relates to health disparities and inequalities, and the intersection of public health and public policy.
Under the Twitter handle of @rvawonk, Caroline has become a leading observer and analyst of right wing extremist disinformation campaigns, the lies and distortions surrounding the Mueller investigation, and all things bewildering in social media.
Caroline graduated Summa Cum Laude from East Carolina University, where she completed her B.A. in Psychology. Caroline also earned her M.A. in Health Education and Promotion from East Carolina University and her M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University-Maryland. Caroline is currently working with Dr. Kellie Carlyle on several ongoing research projects in the areas of interpersonal violence and teen dating violence prevention, media literacy, and theory-based intervention design.
