Sinéad Griffin

Sinéad Griffin is a staff scientist in the Molecular Foundry and the Materials Science Division at Berkeley Lab. Originally from Ireland, her work as a theorist focuses on the description and discovery of materials and physical phenomena at the nanoscale. The applications of Griffin’s work range from new materials for energy and spintronics to exploring the origins of the universe. She won the Swiss Physical Society Prize in 2017, and in 2018 was selected as an early-career awardee at Berkeley Lab.
